Job summary

Amteck seeks a Journeyman Electrician 1 (J1) under a Foreman or Superintendent, with potential to supervise a small crew on site. You will install, alter and repair electrical systems, conductors and equipment, and learn across divisions.

The role requires 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments, strong blueprint literacy, and a commitment to safety, with flexibility for overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrated teamwork and on-site mentoring of helpers and apprentices.
• Adherence to safety policies and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit and related components.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures and panel boards.
• Read project drawings and lay out work from electrical documents.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
• Lead and mentor helpers and apprentices on site.
