Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Technician (Licensed Journeyman Electrician) for nationwide travel to install electrical and mechanical equipment at military bases, including fueling departments. You will work in hazardous locations (Class I, Division 1 and 2) and support multiple departments to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician credential (required).
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively across the United States for field assignments.
  • Hands‑on experience with 3‑phase motors and industrial electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues in construction, industrial, and field service environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience installing and working with conduit, including layout, bending, and wiring.
  • Skilled in using electrical meters and test equipment for installation, verification, and diagnostics.
  • Experience working in hazardous locations such as Class I, Division 1 and Division 2 environments.
  • Comfort working on active military bases and following strict safety and security protocols.

  • Assist other departments and teams with their scope of work when project timelines or workloads require additional support.
  • Follow established procedures for field service work, including documentation, reporting, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain a professional presence on military bases and adhere to all site-specific rules, regulations, and security requirements.
  • Support construction and installation activities from start to finish, ensuring work meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrate a flexible, team-oriented approach and a willingness to take on tasks of varying size and complexity.

Job Description

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
