Job summary

Knobelsdorff, a leading turnkey specialty contractor, is seeking an experienced Electrician for the Energy division to support solar installation projects in Minnesota. You will execute and oversee photovoltaic electrical construction, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery, while mentoring apprentices and keeping the job on track.

Ideal candidates have a valid Journeyman license, 5+ years in solar or electrical construction, and a solid knowledge of PV systems.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
• 5+ years in solar or electrical construction.
• Familiar with PV systems and DC/AC configurations.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willing to travel across Minnesota, overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving history.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install photovoltaic electrical systems per drawings and specs.
• Apply current electrical codes and best practices on the job.
• Complete material takeoffs and support procurement.
• Mentor and support apprentices and crew in the field.
• Conduct or assist in AC and DC terminations and wire management.

Job Description

This role supports the Energy division by providing licensed electrical work across solar installation projects in Minnesota. You’ll be responsible for executing and overseeing photovoltaic (solar) electrical construction that directly impacts project quality, safety, and timeline. What You’ll Do

Pay Range

$55 - $60 per hour plus $125 per diem, travel incentive opportunities, and overtime eligibility
