Job summary

The Traveling Ink Technician position at Flint Group offers on-site technical and operational support across multiple customer locations. You will manage ink blending, color matching, and quality control while traveling to sites and ensuring compliance with safety and Flint Group standards.

You will work independently in diverse manufacturing environments, supporting startups, troubleshooting ink and press issues, and maintaining inventory using Flint Group systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in printing, ink blending, color matching, or related manufacturing environments.
• Flexographic printing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience using color management software (X Rite, Color Cert, Autura) preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to provide onsite technical and operational support.
• Operate ink dispensing equipment and software to maintain production, inventory, and documentation.
• Perform color matching and adjustments to meet customer specifications.
• Monitor quality control processes to ensure products meet requirements.
• Support customer press operations by troubleshooting ink, color, and press issues.
• Maintain inventory levels and manage ink usage efficiently.
• Build relationships with customers and Flint Group teams; assist startups and special projects.
