Job summary

JD Johnson Heating and Air is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, service, and repair heating and air conditioning systems at customer sites including retail stores. You will handle new system installations, perform inspections, and respond to emergencies across the Riverside area with occasional travel to other states for projects.

The role requires 3+ years in HVAC, the ability to read wiring diagrams, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC experience including changeouts and/or duct work.
• Live near Riverside/Jurupa Valley, CA.
• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles and long distance driving.
• Willingness to drive to different states for projects (UT, NV, WA, etc.).
• Driver license required; clean driving record essential.
• Personal tools for work; previous work proof required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair heating and air conditioning systems at customer sites.
• Inspect equipment and perform repairs/replacements as needed.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to extend system life.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Transporting AC units and other large items; keep work vehicle in good condition.
• Attend jobs and inspections on schedule; travel to different states when required.
