Job summary

Carrier, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, seeks Traveling HVAC Data Center Chiller Technicians to deliver reliable cooling solutions across Data Center sites in the United States. The role emphasizes startup, commissioning, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance performed by skilled HVAC professionals.

The position requires extensive field experience with centrifugal chillers, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry.
• 3+ years working on Centrifugal Chillers.
• Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb a ladder, and work on rooftops.

Responsibilities

• Travel to different Data Center Sites on a long-term rotational travel schedule.
• Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, supporting a state-of-the-art facility.
• Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and perform scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
• Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and escalate issues for resolution when needed.
• Prioritize safety by following licensing requirements and safety training.
