Job summary

The Traveling Registered Nurse at Compassus travels to multiple programs to deliver high-quality home-based care, ensuring comfort and symptom management for patients and families. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans, educate caregivers, and coordinate services across settings.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in applicable states.
• Experience in home health, hospice, oncology, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Travels to assigned programs based on need; assignments 8–13 weeks.
• Admits patients and performs routine and emergency assessments.
• May act as preceptor to onboard and train new team members.
• Coordinates clinical care with PT, OT, MSW, and HHA.
• Ensures bedside documentation of observations and treatments.
• Educates patients and caregivers about care plans and disease processes.
• Supervises LPNs and HHAs and ensures quality of care.
