Mortenson is seeking a Mechanic responsible for onsite maintenance of heavy and general equipment. Responsibilities include inspection, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and maintaining shop equipment in good condition.

A strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and safety is required, with travel to project sites as needed. Qualified candidates have at least one year of related experience, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Strong teamwork orientation with attention to detail and organization.
• Active listening and communication, open to diverse input.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop equipment in clean, orderly condition and report deficiencies.
• Perform inspections to ensure equipment meets specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to determine damage.
• Follow operating instructions to maintain shop equipment operations.
• Maintain supplies and call for repairs.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance.
• Complete and file reports and paperwork.
• Build relationships across diverse teams and levels.
• Willing to travel per project needs.
• All other duties as assigned.
