Job summary

Idaho Gastroenterology Associates seeks a Medical Assistant (MA) or EMT to join a specialized GI team. The role entails direct and indirect patient care, collaboration with nurses and physicians, and support across three endoscopy centers in Boise, Meridian, and Nampa.

The position offers on-site work in a dynamic ambulatory surgical center, with on-the-job training for endoscopy technician duties and a focus on patient care during GI procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant program.
• Maintain Basic Life Support certification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission, recovery, and discharge of patients in the endoscopy center.
• Relay information from patients to nursing staff.
• Prepare procedure rooms and maintain infection control standards.
• Stock and sterilize instruments and manage supply inventory.
• Maintain logs and required checks such as refrigerator temperatures and medication expirations.
• Support patient data collection and post-procedure follow-up calls.
