Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant I to support both clinical and administrative tasks in a busy GI practice. You will assist physicians with patient care, manage patient flow, and perform clerical duties such as charting, scheduling, and insurance verification.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (MA diploma preferred) and at least 1 year of MA experience; gastroenterology exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or MA diploma from an accredited program.
• Minimum one year of recent experience as a medical assistant in a medical facility.
• Experience in a Gastroenterology practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, including managing patient flow and assisting with exams/procedures.
• Handle clerical tasks: charting, scheduling, records, insurance verification, and patient check-in/out.
• Provide patient information to help them use clinical services effectively.
• Other duties as assigned and respond to urgent codes as needed.
