As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.

Role Summary

The General Superintendent will develop and execute the project plan and oversee all aspects of assigned projects with significant complexity. This role manages the team, plans construction sequencing, and ensures project goals are met, supporting JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

This role requires travel and full-time on-site presence for projects across the United States, locations to be determined.

Key Responsibilities - Core

• Lead safety culture, demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed.
• Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
• Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs like Safety, Quality, and EEO.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate project site activities.
• Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Participate in progress and OAC meetings.
• Manage project schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Track project budget and costs using management systems.
• Communicate key project information to stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and logs.
• Approve unit costs, complete reports, and track progress.
• Manage material and equipment needs.
• Support procurement processes.
• Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment.
• Manage timecard approvals.
• Ensure quality compliance and supervise closeouts.
• Understand project pursuit processes.
• Participate in project pre-planning and lifecycle management.
• Establish field staffing and manage project changes.
• Participate in negotiations and project reviews.
• Lead talent recruitment and promote diversity and inclusion.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.

Experience

• 12+ years construction experience.
• 10+ years field supervision experience.
• Lean principles and high-tech project experience preferred.

Working Environment

• Valid driver's license required.
