Veit & Co is seeking a Traveling General Superintendent to oversee foundation projects across the Midwest. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and the ability to manage field operations while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate labor resources, manage budgets, and participate in job-site meetings. The position involves traveling 75-100% of the time and requires strong leadership skills to guide field personnel effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Superintendent overseeing construction work, specifically with Foundations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, iPad, and iPhone.
• Must possess ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations including scheduling and coordinating labor resources.
• Ensure all work meets specified quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
• Produce and communicate the Workforce Schedule for projects.

Skills

10 years' experience as a Superintendent

Knowledge of OSHA and HAZWOPER regulations

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to read construction plans

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
