Job summary

Radio Engineering Industries, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair mobile A/V, surveillance, and communications systems at customer sites.

You will perform testing, provide on-site support, and train customer personnel to ensure equipment performs to specifications. The role requires a High School Diploma, 1+ years of field experience, soldering skills, and familiarity with schematics and basic networking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Electronics background preferred
• 1+ years installing, troubleshooting, repairing, or supporting electronic equipment
• Working knowledge of electronics theory and digital circuits
• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
• Soldering skills and use of common power/hand tools

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and maintain mobile A/V, surveillance, and communications equipment at customer locations
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers requiring technical assistance, including direct phone support and remote troubleshooting
• Provide on-site technical support and train customer personnel on equipment operation, functionality, and basic troubleshooting procedures
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and update electronic equipment and systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and documentation
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to identify issues and complete repairs
• Document service activities, troubleshooting results, repairs, and testing outcomes in service records
• Follow established procedures and safety practices during installations and field service
