ProAutomated Inc. is seeking a travel‑driven field engineer to support data center startups, perform on-site checks, and collaborate with automation teams across North America. You’ll travel to various sites, lead startup and acceptance testing, and communicate progress to customers.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years) in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must live within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation assistance available).
• Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment (for local projects).
• Preferred knowledge: electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups, performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams to keep progress smooth.
• Travel rotations follow a days on/off schedule (e.g., 5 on-2 off, 10 on-4 off, 14 on-7 off).
• Work with various customers and the ProAutomated team to gain real-world experience.
