ProAutomated Inc is seeking a travel-focused, field-based engineer for North America projects. You will support data center startups, perform on-site checks, and collaborate with system integrators to ensure success in critical moments.

Starting salary is $60,000–$75,000, with per diem, mileage reimbursement, bonuses, and growth opportunities. Four-week paid training and a 5% raise after six months help you build a long-term career with ProAutomated.

Qualifications

• A genuine love of travel and willingness to be away from home on rotation.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking is preferred.
• Adaptability and grit; you thrive when plans change and challenges pop up.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Must live within 50 miles of a major airport; relocation assistance available.
• Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment for local projects.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years) in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups, performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams to keep progress smooth and accurate.
• Typical travel rotations follow a days on - 2 off, 10 on - 4 off, or 14 on - 7 off; each project brings new challenges and locations.
