Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to ensure quality and compliance of electrical projects across facilities, sites, and customer locations in the United States. This role requires frequent travel and acts as the field quality representative with project teams to drive corrective actions and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities include developing testing procedures, verifying installations per drawings and codes, and coordinating with management for progress reports.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in electrical construction, quality assurance, commissioning, or related industrial role.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical installation best practices.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and field documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel regularly to facilities, construction sites, and customer locations to perform quality inspections and audits.
• Develop procedures and checklists for testing activities and inspection tasks.
• Ensure FATs (IFAT) meet requirements and document findings.
• Verify electrical installations conform to drawings, specs, codes and standards.
• Conduct field quality inspections and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Produce construction progress reports to align management with quality/schedule updates.
• Verify redline drawings are completed and submitted on schedule.
• Ensure turnover packages and documentation are complete.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in customer quality meetings and site acceptance activities.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues.
