Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to service and repair heavy diesel equipment at customer job sites in Charlotte, NC. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and keep downtime to a minimum while working independently in the field.

The role requires hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronics, as well as the ability to communicate clearly with foremen and operators. A valid driver's license is required, and CDL/DOT card is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of field or shop experience servicing heavy diesel equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronics.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
• Must be dependable, safety conscious, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver's license; CDL or DOT medical card a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to construction sites to diagnose and repair diesel-powered equipment such as excavators, dozers, compactors, and haul trucks.
• Perform on-site preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with limited access to shop tools.
• Communicate clearly with foremen, operators, and supervisors to coordinate repairs.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked service truck and accurate maintenance records.

Whether it's a blown hose or a machine that won't start, you’ll be the go-to problem solver keeping crews productive and downtime minimal. If you thrive in the field, work well independently, and know diesel systems inside and out, you’ll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities
