Job summary

Dks Contracting Inc is seeking an Experienced Field Mechanic to keep our fleet running and grow with us. You will diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment in the field, with a focus on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and air systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and air systems.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment (CAT, John Deere preferred).
• On-site field repairs and detailed maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Document work in maintenance logs and communicate with team.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

We’re looking for a problem-solver with hands‑on experience in heavy equipment repair. If you:

• Have 5+ years of experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and air systems
• Can diagnose and repair heavy equipment (CAT, John Deere preferred)
• Are comfortable working in the field and handling on‑site repairs
• Can keep detailed maintenance records and follow schedules
• Work independently but also communicate well with teams
• Hold (or are willing to obtain) a CDL Class B with Tank endorsement – that’s a plus!
