Job summary

Zero dB Communications (ZdB) is a leading fiber optic full turnkey contractor headquartered in Spokane, Washington with offices throughout the West Coast specializing in splicing/testing and placing fiber optic cables. An OSP field role performs itinerant fiber work, including anchors, strand placement, cable lashing, and riser construction.

The position requires extensive travel up to 80% and reports to the Spokane office.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and the ability to work as part of a team.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in the fiber optic field is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with driving record that meets safety standards; CDL preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods; lead/foreman experience a plus.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform splicing and testing to engineering specs and OSP standards.
• Operate mini excavators, backhoes, skid steers, cable plows, and drop plows.
• Complete accurate field documentation and support project timelines.
• Travel up to 80% across metro, commercial, and rural sites.
