Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 2 years of technical schooling or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
  • Knowledge of basic chemistry.
  • Ability to develop in-depth technically related troubleshooting skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Effective customer service skills and maintenance of ongoing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure and maximize customer satisfaction with Roche equipment and services.
  • Install, maintain, and repair Roche Diagnostics’ equipment; escalate as needed.
  • Identify revenue and cost-saving opportunities; market service contracts.
  • Provide routine technical support and operator troubleshooting training when needed.
  • Complete and document all service and customer account reports and emails timely.
  • Maintain expenses within guidelines and control department inventory and assets.
