Kraemer North America LLC in the Upper Midwest region is seeking Field Engineers to join teams spanning WI, MN, IL, IA, with opportunities to work on diverse heavy civil construction projects across the U.S. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration to ensure crews have the information and support needed.

You will oversee planning, inspect work, monitor quantities, assist with scheduling and subcontractors, and develop positive relationships with owners and inspectors while pursuing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• Experience in heavy civil projects preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Passion for safety and construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety program implementation to ensure safe construction execution and personnel protection.
• Ensure quality through planning, document control, submittals, RFIs, and field inspections.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and Kraemer self-perform work; provide construction oversight.
• Track quantities, monitor expenditures, and prepare cost reports to support project profitability.
• Assist foremen and superintendents with layout, elevation/grade control, and crew coordination.
• Maintain relationships with project owners, inspectors, and stakeholders in line with Kraemer’s values.
• Attend Kraemer University courses for ongoing skill development.
