Job summary

Kraemer North America is seeking Field Engineers for the Upper Midwest and Mountain West regions, including the National Railroad Group. You will aid in planning, monitoring, and executing heavy civil construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and progress.

The role requires a civil engineering or construction management degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with subcontractors and crews on diverse projects. Travel across regions is expected as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Passion for safety and construction.
• Experience with AGTEK/AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety program execution on construction projects.
• Ensure quality through planning, documentation control, including submittals, RFIs and compliance records, and field inspections.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and Kraemer self-perform work.
• Monitor project expenditures and prepare cost reports.
• Assist foremen and superintendents with site activities and coordination.
• Develop relationships with project owners, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Attend Kraemer University courses for career development.
