Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. The role involves extensive travel (75%) with duties including splicing, testing, and documentation in Henderson, KY.

A high school diploma or GED and two years of fiber splicing experience are required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States, pass a DOT physical, and demonstrate knowledge of telecom network structures.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience
• Must be 18+ with authorisation to work in the U.S.
• DOT physical with valid medical card required

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot circuits after installation
• Ensure splicing meets customer and industry standards
• Document work in daily production reports and maps
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance
