Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. The role requires strong splicing skills, safety awareness, and the ability to travel up to 50% to install and maintain fiber facilities.

You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits post-installation, and document all work with maps and production reports while mentoring fellow splicers as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Must pass a DOT physical and have a valid medical card.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Document work through daily production reports and map updates.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles.
