Job summary

Ledcor Group invites motivated Excavator Operators to join our telecom construction crews across Arizona and surrounding states. You will operate a CAT 308 excavator, work on civil, utility or road projects, and rotate locations every few weeks to keep projects moving.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork. A valid driver's license is required, with physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and related fiber optic or underground utility experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of excavator experience in civil construction, roadbuilding, utility construction or related industry.
• Experience with fiber optic or underground utility installation is a strong asset.
• Strong understanding of backfill, lift thickness, soil conditions, moisture and compaction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CAT 308 mini excavator on civil construction and earthwork sites.
• Excavate around underground utilities and follow locate/safe-dig procedures.
• Place soil and aggregate in lifts for proper compaction.
• Read drawings and interpret utility locates.
• Support conduit placement and cable installation.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Assist with hands-on labor and team tasks as needed.
• Communicate clearly with crew and supervisors to meet daily goals.
