Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support Construction & Mining operations, focusing on planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization, and reliability of an equipment fleet. The job emphasizes improving reliability and implementing preventive maintenance programs across sites.

Live where you want and be open to travel; relocation may be required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1+ year of equipment experience are preferred, with CAD modeling knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a related field is required.
• 1+ year of equipment experience preferred.
• Flexibility to travel and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Material handling and procurement.
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Inspect equipment and parts.
• Logistics management and communication.
• Plan, schedule, and budget short/long range equipment needs.
• Prepare for critical lifts with planning paperwork.
• Use reliability data to improve equipment availability.
• Coordinate between supervision levels and management.
• Support maintenance teams with parts, inventory, and scheduling.
