Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator to work on hydraulic excavators, skid loaders, and dozers. This travel position covers Northeast project sites with extended away-from-home assignments; local postings are the exception.

The role involves operating heavy equipment, coordinating with the crew to place underground utilities, inspecting gear, and ensuring safety and compliance on job sites across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction plans, prints, and specifications.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be detail-oriented and thorough in completing tasks.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment securely.
• Transport tools and materials safely.
• Perform daily equipment inspections.
• Operate equipment to install underground utilities with crew.
• Follow safety policies and standards.
• Identify utilities and verify them against blueprints.
• Dig pits and trenches as needed.
• Restore disturbed areas after work.
• Complete required company documentation (timesheets, logs).
• Travel to various project sites and work locations.
