Job summary

Guidant Power, Inc. seeks an experienced electrician to travel to customer sites, collect data, inspect electrical distribution systems, and support arc flash evaluations, LIM, and ATS testing. You will work independently, read one-line diagrams, and document findings with photos and drawings.

You will stay in close contact with our engineering team to ensure safety and accuracy on site across various facilities, including hospitals and data centers.

Qualifications

• Industrial experience in arc flash evaluations, LIM or ATS is a plus or electrical engineering degree.
• Ability to travel (valid driver’s license, air travel) required.
• Live within an hour of a major airport.
• Proficient using laptops/tablets and tools similar to Google Drive, spreadsheets, Google Photos and PDFs.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites to conduct arc flash evaluations.
• Open equipment and record equipment information via photos, paper, and electronic means.
• Read and understand one-line drawings and edit to create accurate as-built drawings.
• Test and document performance of LIMs and ATS equipment following established procedures.
• Use online storage and spreadsheets to manage data and reporting.
• Communicate with engineering and the customer to ensure accuracy.
