Job summary

GROB Systems, Inc. in Bluffton, OH is seeking a controls start-up and commissioning technician to load, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs, edit HMI, and repair electrical wiring as needed.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with PLC/CNC programming, and frequent travel during machine installations (domestic and some international). Excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics and Automation or similar program.
• PLC or CNC programming experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Beckhoff knowledge preferred).
• General PC and networking skills.
• 2 years’ relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• NC programming and troubleshooting.
• Robot programming and integration (ABB & Fanuc).
• Electrical hardware troubleshooting.
• Servo drive parameterization and tuning.
• Networking of machines to plant network and other machines.
• Assist with customer part runoffs and final acceptance.
