Job summary

GW Systems in Birmingham, AL seeks an Electrical Site Superintendent to oversee on-site electrical work on projects nationwide. This full-time traveling role manages crews, ensures safe installation of power distribution, conduit, wiring, controls, automation, and E-Houses in industrial settings.

Requirements include 5–6 years of industrial electrical construction with 2–3 years in supervision; Journeyman Electrician license preferred; willingness to travel extensively; NEC and code compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-6 years of industrial electrical construction experience, with 2-3 years in supervision.
• Journeyman Electrician license preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Strong NEC knowledge and heavy industrial installation methods.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and specs.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the U.S.
• OSHA 30 or willingness to obtain; first aid/CPR preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all on-site electrical construction activities on GW Systems projects.
• Ensure work follows drawings, NEC, and local/state codes.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce safety protocols.
• Coordinate electrical work with other trades, PMs, engineers, and clients.
• Manage crew productivity, schedules, materials, and quality control.
• Troubleshoot field issues and implement practical solutions.
• Maintain daily reports, progress tracking, and as-built documentation.
• Oversee installation and commissioning support for E-Houses and control panels.
• Mentor electricians and promote continuous improvement.
• Travel extensively to project sites nationwide.
