Job summary

DisplayMax, Inc. in Michigan is hiring a 4th or 5th year Electrical Apprentice to travel across the Great Lakes states performing commercial electrical work.

You will travel with a small crew, work overnight shifts when stores are closed, install and repair electrical systems, and follow NEC and state codes. A valid Michigan license, 7,000 hours of on-the-job experience, and a willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Apprentice in Michigan and eligible to take Journeyman Electrician's Exam in Michigan.
• Minimum 7,000 hours of verifiable on-the-job experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel and be away from home during the work week (home on weekends).
• Familiarity with NEC, state, and local electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Travel with a small crew to client retail stores.
• Work overnight shifts when stores are closed.
• Re-route check lanes, install refrigeration electrical, and more.
• Install and repair electrical systems, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and electrical codes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing electrical systems.
• Keep detailed records of work and assist with general labor as needed.
• Assist with vehicle/tool upkeep and site cleanliness.
