Job summary

About Play is seeking an Early Interventionist to support families with infants and toddlers who have developmental delays or disabilities in Beaufort, Colleton, and Jasper counties, SC. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience, with on-the-job training available.

Must reside in South Carolina for consideration, with travel up to 50-75%. Salary starts around $40,000 with mileage reimbursement options, and full-time hours from 8:30 to 5.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or any related field.
• At least 1 year of documented experience working with children birth to six years old.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Perform family training with the caregiver and child in their home, daycare or natural environment setting.
• Provide training, education, and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
• Monitor the progress of the child and family.

Education
