Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Traveling Telecom Drill Bores Operator to determine bore paths and locate utilities, operating all required drilling equipment safely. The role includes potholing to verify utilities, managing mud mixing systems, and maintaining bore schedules.

You will handle site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance in all weather conditions. Requirements include being 18+, US work authorization, a High School Diploma or GED or relevant experience, and a valid Class A

Qualifications

• To be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore setup/design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize mud mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities


• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks


• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path


• Utilize \"Mud\" mixing systems


• Develop and maintain a bore schedule


• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance


• Perform work in all weather conditions


• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older


• Authorization to work in the United States for this company


• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience


• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record


• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it


• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds


• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Traveling Drill Bores Operator is $24.00 - $35.00.
