Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC. is seeking a Traveling Telecom Drill Bores Operator to join our field team. You will determine bore paths, operate heavy drilling equipment, and verify utilities through potholing, all while maintaining schedules and safety standards.

The role requires 18+ years old, a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain), and prior drilling experience. We offer strong benefits, weekly pay, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore design processes.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate drill equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify utilities by potholing to confirm bore path.
• Use mud mixing systems as required.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.

At TelCom Construction, LLC, as a Traveling Telecom Drill Bores Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

What you’ll do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities

• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks

• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path

• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems

• Develop and maintain a bore schedule

• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance

• Perform work in all weather conditions

• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older

• Authorization to work in the United States for this company

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience

• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it

• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely : work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds

• Occasionally : use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Traveling Drill Bores Operator is $24.00 - $35.00.
