Job summary

CVS Health in Hawaii seeks a part-time District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacist shifts across stores in the district, under the Pharmacy Manager's guidance. You will help manage pharmacy operations, support immunizations, counseling, and ensure safe dispensing while maintaining patient care standards.

Ideal candidates hold an active pharmacist license in the state, an NPI, and can travel within a reasonable radius.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC) and oversee pharmacy operations
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safeguarding patient safety
• Assists Pharmacy Manager's duties when serving as pharmacist-on-duty
• Coaching the pharmacy team to provide compassionate care and resolve insurance and medication issues
• Delivering immunizations and supporting pharmacists and technicians to immunize
• Managing inventory with focus on cold chain protection across multiple stores
• Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills through trainings and CME
• Supporting access to care and participating in pharmacist-delivered care where permissible
• Complying with all laws, CVS policies, privacy, and safety standards
