Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a part-time District Support Pharmacist to cover shifts across stores in the district. The role emphasizes safe dispensing, patient counseling, and immunization services, with travel to fill shifts as scheduled.

You will support the Pharmacy Manager and ensure compliance with pharmacy workflow and safety standards. Required qualifications include an active pharmacist license in the state, an active NPI, and no DEA exclusions.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
Complete required training within designated timeframe.
Ensure prescription information and labeling accuracy for patient safety.
Provide excellent customer service and teamwork to support patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues; practice active listening.
Apply math to determine dispensing quantities, days’ supply, and inventory needs.
Identify and resolve patient or colleague issues to maintain quality care.
Be mobile and physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting items up to 20 lbs.
