Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist for part-time coverage across CVS stores. You will support scheduling, oversee pharmacy operations, and ensure safe dispensing while traveling within the district.

Responsibilities include immunizations, patient counseling, and inventory management. Must hold a valid pharmacist license in the store state and an active NPI, with DEA exclusions inapplicable. Anticipated hours: 15 per week; pay range provided, benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator; overseeing the pharmacy and serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and guarding safety measures at every workstation.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist on duty.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the team to do the same.
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy; guiding technicians to learn immunization procedures.
• Managing pharmacy inventory with focus on cold chain and protecting patient safety across multiple stores.
• Maintaining required training and certifications; ensuring compliance with laws and CVS Health policies.
