Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is hiring a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to plan and execute underground bore paths. You will locate utilities, operate drilling equipment, and maintain bore schedules to support telecom infrastructure projects.

The role requires a CDL Class A with tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain), a valid US work authorization, and experience with drilling equipment. Expect diverse outdoor conditions and ongoing safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities and setup

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize Mud mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site setup, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Traveling Directional Drill Operator TelCom is $24.00 - $35.00.
