Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Traveling Telecomm Drill Bores Operator to install underground telecom cables. You will operate drill equipment, determine bore paths, and verify infrastructure while traveling up to 100%. The role requires a Class A CDL, a high school diploma or equivalent, and US work authorization.

Competitive benefits are offered. Wage range for the position is between $24.00 and $35.00 per hour, with weekly paychecks and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the US.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record (non-provisional).
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore operations.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all required equipment.
• Verify utilities by potholing to confirm bore path.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
• Work in all weather conditions; travel up to 100%.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize "Mud" mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Up to 100% travel
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Traveling Directional Drill Operator is $24.00 - $35.00.
