Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Directional Bore Operator / Locator for work across the Northeast, primarily away from home. The role involves drilling, locating utilities, installing cables, and maintaining safety on diverse job sites.

Travel is required with hotel accommodations provided; per diem is included. The position demands reading blueprints, operating bore equipment, and complying with company standards. CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience operating a directional borer preferably in the telecommunications field.
• Previous rock boring experience.
• Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload directional bore equipment in a secure manner.
• Transport associated tools and materials safely.
• Perform a daily inspection on bore equipment before work.
• Prepare drill fluid based on site conditions.
• Locate/operate directional drill to place cables with crew.
• Operate horizontal directional drill equipment per standards.
• Locate cables and verify with blueprints.
• Identify utilities in the bore path.
• Connect conduit and wire; dig pits and trenches as needed.
• Restore disturbed areas and document work per company procedures.
• Follow safety policies and perform work safely.
• Assist team to complete projects.
