Job summary

Kitty Hawk Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and ensure the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients, assist dentists, and help deliver efficient, high-quality care in multiple offices.

Key duties include radiographs, instrument sterilization, charting, and coordinating with the front desk. A valid state license, travel readiness, and strong communication are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with mandated state certifications/licensures.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; background and MVR checks.
• Travel to multiple offices per day may be required; reliable transportation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians to deliver the PPE and patient-centered care.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Communicate with front/back office to keep Orthodontists’ schedule running smoothly.
• Sterilize instruments and prep operatory per infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to deliver quality care.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed by the clinician.
• Manage tray setups and maintain adequate supplies in each operatory.
