Job summary

PDS Health is seeking a Specialty Dental Assistant to support clinicians across Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics or Pediatric dentistry. You will assist with radiographs, intra-oral photos, tray setups, and patient preparation to enable efficient, high-quality dental care.

You will travel to multiple offices daily, maintain sterilized operatories, support front/back office coordination, and uphold infection control standards while delivering excellent patient care and

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with mandated state training for certification/licensure.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations as required by state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance and pass background checks.
• Must travel to multiple offices daily with reliable transportation.
• Alternative transport allowed if no driving license is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist orthodontists and dental clinicians to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow.
• Escort patients and coordinate with front desk staff.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and follow infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients, take radiographs and intra-oral photos as directed.
• Maintain stock and assist with tray setups for procedures.
• Record chart notes in the digital patient chart and obtain consents/health history.
• Communicate treatment records and health info prior to treatment.
