Job summary

Pacific Dental Services, LLC (PDS Health) is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience and creating a Patient for Life. You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, and collaborate with front office to ensure smooth scheduling and a cheerful environment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: As mandated by applicable state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices per day, sometimes several times per day, with reliable transportation.
• One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians to deliver the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and prepare patients for examination.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and coordinate with front/back office for schedule flow.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments; maintain operatory cleanliness per infection control guidelines.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed by the clinician.
• Prepare dental tray setups and maintain inventory in each operatory.
• Record patient charting and health history in the digital chart; present records to clinician.
