Job summary

360care is seeking a Dental Assistant to visit long-term care facilities and assist physicians with patient dental care. You will maintain clinical records in EMR, assist with procedures, and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.

The role requires travel up to 100% within a 2.5 hour radius, with responsibilities including updating odontograms, balancing daily production reports, and ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical/Dental Assistant experience preferred.
• Must have own reliable transportation and driving record.
• Must have completed and passed a two-step TB skin test.
• Hepatitis B vaccination preferred.
• Must have state radiation license or certificate.
• Must have good computer skills and medical terminology experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to follow directions and listen to patients and doctors.
• Requires travel up to 100% of the time within a 2.5 hour radius.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor with patient care in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Maintain clinical records and charts via electronic medical records (EMR).
• Handle cleaning and care of medical/dental equipment.
• Pass instruments to the dentist during procedures efficiently.
• Update odontogram for every patient encounter.
• Balance and generate daily production reports for the dentist.
• Ensure dental equipment preventive maintenance and report issues.
• Provide education on oral hygiene to patients.
• Ensure OSHA and HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
