Job summary

Divcon is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee the installation, commissioning, and handover of multiple construction projects. The role emphasizes schedule adherence, budget control, and strict compliance with client requirements and technical specs.

You will manage cross-functional teams, review submittals, and maintain thorough project documentation, including Bill of Materials and change orders, while coordinating with clients and field staff across sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation.
• Technical expertise in electrical systems, commissioning, and risk management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong organizational and project planning skills with attention to detail.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required. If not current, OSHA 30 training must be completed within the first week of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents.
• Review and approve engineering submittals and technical drawings before handoff.
• Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project expenses to maintain budget adherence.
• Maintain accurate project records, including milestones, billings, SoV, and documentation within DivPro.
• Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel.
• Review and approve weekly timecards for Controls Technicians.
• Approve and manage the BoM for each project.
• Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management.
