Job summary

Divcon is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee the installation, commissioning, and handover of multiple construction projects nationwide. You will manage scope, schedules, and budgets, oversee subcontractors and controls technicians, and communicate with clients to align expectations and project goals.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 95%), readiness to work weekends and after-hours, and strong expertise in building automation systems, electrical work, and risk management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two years or training provided within first week of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents.
• Review and approve engineering submittals and technical drawings before handoff.
• Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project expenses to maintain budget adherence.
• Maintain accurate project records, including milestones, billings, SoV, and documentation within DivPro.
• Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel.
• Review and approve weekly timecards for Controls Technicians.
• Approve and manage the BoM for each project.
• Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management.
