Job summary

Divcon is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee the installation, commissioning, and handover of multiple construction projects nationwide. The role demands strong project management, deep knowledge of building automation systems, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

You will travel up to 95% of the time, including weekends and after-hours, to ensure projects meet schedule and budget requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation.
• Technical expertise in electrical systems, commissioning, and risk management.
• OSHA 30 certification, current or within the past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents.
• Review and approve engineering submittals and technical drawings before handoff.
• Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project expenses to maintain budget adherence.
• Maintain accurate project records, including milestones, billings, SoV, and documentation within DivPro.
• Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel.
• Review and approve weekly timecards for Controls Technicians.
• Approve and manage the BoM for each project.
• Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management.
