Job summary

Equiliem seeks a Traveling Superintendent to lead structured cabling and low voltage projects within enterprise and hyperscale data centers. You will oversee field teams, project execution, safety, scheduling, and documentation while coordinating with project management and customers.

The role requires strong data center experience, field leadership, and the ability to travel for extended project assignments. You will use Power BI and Bluebeam to support reporting and on-site delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of structured cabling or low voltage install experience, incl. 3+ years in supervision.
• Experience leading field crews on large data center or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems incl. fiber and copper.
• Familiarity with BICSI standards; OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to travel extensively and manage multi-site field operations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project tools such as Power BI and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for structured cabling and low voltage projects in active data center environments.
• Coordinate technicians, Project Leads, foremen, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Review project blueprints, installation plans, and scope documents for accuracy.
• Oversee cabling installations and QA in accordance with BICSI standards.
• Monitor fiber, copper, cable tray, ladder racks, and MDF/IDF buildouts.
• Lead safety-focused daily stretch-and-flex activities and enforce OSHA requirements.
• Conduct jobsite walks to evaluate safety, quality, and production performance.
• Identify and correct unsafe practices, installation issues, and project constraints.
• Meet with Project Leads to review production and safety concerns; adjust plans as needed.
• Communicate project status, risks, and corrective actions to project management.
• Track milestones and schedule deviations; complete pre-planning and documentation.
• Maintain accurate daily project documentation and time entries.
