Job summary

UES, Inc. seeks a Structural Steel Inspector (CWI) for a major construction project in Saint Croix, US Virgin Islands. You will support fabrication and erection inspections, ensure compliance with ASNT/ASTM/AWS standards, and collaborate with engineers and field teams to uphold quality and safety.

The role requires 2–5 years of NDT experience, a CWI certification, and the ability to travel on a rotating schedule. Expect 6–8 months on site with company-paid travel, lodging, and per diem.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and CWI certification required.
• ASNT Level 2 NDT certification required or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of NDT experience with knowledge of testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct welding inspections at job sites and submit reports per standards.
• Perform NDT methods including UT, MT, PT, RT, VT.
• Interpret drawings and manuals to understand project requirements.
• Coordinate with fabricators and engineers to ensure quality.
• Maintain safety protocols and assist in inspection procedures.
