Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing seeks an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead onsite field operations for industrial and commercial projects across the continental United States.

This hands-on role requires expertise in structural steel erection or PEMB, supervision of crews and subcontractors, and the ability to coordinate schedules, safety, and quality on 100% travel assignments with lodging and per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field leadership experience on industrial or commercial projects.
• Direct experience with structural steel erection or pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB).
• Ability to read structural and civil drawings, MEP drawings, and specifications.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay onsite for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for steel construction and PEMB installation.
• Supervise crews, subcontractors, equipment operators and onsite personnel.
• Coordinate scheduling, manpower, equipment, material deliveries, and site logistics.
• Review structural drawings, civil plans, MEP drawings, and specifications.
• Maintain safe, organized, productive jobsites and serve as onsite point of contact.
• Coordinate crane operations and rigging with qualified personnel.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
